PROJECT: RED IS PAIN
You have consumed enough opinions from your favorite websites and echo chambers that nothing I can say about machines and intelligence will be seen as is. So, I will not do that. You are very smart and your biases are correct!
Anyways, the idea behind this experiment is simple; can we fake intelligence and emotions?
This simulation has characters controlled completely by simple code. Each character has:
- Big-5 disposition: Basically, randomly generated personality traits. They are one of the factors for the character's reaction to a given event.
- Mental state: Characters remember death of their allies and heated areas.
- Memory: They remember deaths, danger zones, bad spots to be in and such. A lightweight 'learning' simulation and necessary to fake PTSD.
- Relationships: Characters bond over time. Watching a friend die causes more stress than losing a stranger.
- Senses: Characters don't cheat. They only know what they can directly see, hear, or get told by their allies.
- Panic: Bullets flying nearby cause stress. Panicked characters lose accuracy and run for cover.
- Code: There is no machine learning. Tactical choices and fear all emerge from simple math and rules.
PS: I am still working on this, it's far from perfect. Don't expect much.
